Vijay Singh broke his drought to claim the victory in this weekends World Golf Championship, even though he has had a ’slump’ in recent times, he became the winningest international player in the PGA tour.

Singh shot a 2-under par on Sunday, and saw off Stuart Appleby and Lee Westwood 1 shot back, and closely followed by Retief Goosen and Phil Mickelson 2 shots behind.

Phil must be a little disappointed, only managing an even par round on Sunday, if he managed to drop a few putts, and score a 2-under par like Singh did on Sunday, we might have had a great play off, unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for the worlds best left hand golfer.

Kenny Perry wins the John Deere Classic, his 3rd win in only 5 starts. He had to do it via a playoff with Brad Adamonis and Jay Williamson after Perry had a bogey on the 18th hole on Sunday.

Adamonis, the 35 year old Rookie missed an 18-foot putt to win it outright on the 72nd hole, but unfortunately for the Rookie, he couldn’t make it count and went on to lose to Perry in the playoff.

Jay Williamson won a start in the British Open, as did Perry, who declined the invitation due to PGA commitments.

Left-hand golfer, Eric Axley had a fantastic T4 placing, his best result for a while. The left-hand golfers seem to be making a good show for themselves world wide recently, lets hope we can get a few at the top come British Open this coming weekend.

Kenny Perry wins again, second win in 4 starts. In the club house with a 66, Perry had to wait on the driving range while the rest of the field completed their rounds. In the final 2 groups, was Woody Austin, who 3 putted for a bogey and dropped to T2, and Leftie Bubba Watson needed a birdie on the 72nd hole to tie, unfortunately he failed and gifted Perry with the win, $900,000 and an 11th career victory.

Nick O’Hern played solid, but failed to get under 70 his last 3 days after a good opening round of 68, but he is playing consistent golf and finishing pretty well every week. Tim Wilkinson failed to get under 70 in his entire tournament, but after last weeks missed cut at the Travelers Championship, he will be happy again to finish in the money and take home $11,300.00US.

His winning total of 262 is a five shots better than his best ever four round total, 267 set in 1997.

Bubba Watson had a great finish T6, and 2008 is looking like it will be his best season since entering the PGA Tour in 2004. 18 Events, 11 cuts, 2 top 10’s and a 5 finishes in the top 25.

Nick O’Hern has enjoyed a pretty steady season so far, with 15 events, 10 cuts, 2 top 10’s and 6 top 25’s
