Unfortunately Greg Norman couldn’t compete on Sunday and shot a 77, to finish T3, which is still an outstanding feat.

1 name, Greg Norman, leading the championship by 2 strokes into the final day. The final group of the day is a mouth watering one, with Greg Norman going head to head with last years winner of The British Open, Padraig Harrington.

It should be an exciting final day, with more strong winds forecast to punish slightly miss-hit golf balls, as we have seen all week.

Unfortunately for the left-handers in the pack, conditions have proved too difficult.

T48 Phil Mickelson +13

T48 Nick O’Hern +13

Another quick update, Korean KJ Choi sits on top with a total of 1-under par after 2 days at the 2008 British Open, but all eyes were on The Great White Shark Greg Norman, he has been playing some amazing golf and sits outright 2nd on even par for the tournament.

Defending champion Padraig Harrington had a solid 68, with a sublime back nine and sits T4 heading into day 3 at The Royal Birkdale.

The wonderful British summer weather showed itself again, and day 3 is set to get worse, if that is possible.

Top British Open Left-hand Golfers:

T38 Phil Mickelson – 68 today, +7 for the tournament, much better day for Phil

T38 Mike Weir – A horrible end to the round, 76 for Weir today, +7 for the Championship

T52 Richard Green

T69 Nick O’Hern

Well, lets keep this short, the 2008 British Open, played at the Royal Birkdale for the ninth time tee’d off today, and it was the weather that won. Absolutely shocking weather for golf, and the scores reflected that, especially for the early starters.

After day one, Rocco Mediate, Robert Allenby and last weeks European Open winner Graeme McDowell sit on top of the leaderboard at -1 for the day.

World Number 2, and Left-hand golfer Phil Mickelson, had some of the worst conditions at midday, and had a very disappointing round of +9. Fellow US Masters winner, Mike Weir is sitting just behind the leaders on +1.

Lets hope tomorrow can bring some better conditions and better scores along with it.

T38 +4 Nick O’Hern

T75 +6 Richard Green

T123 +9 Phil Mickelson
